Jesus words, "Remember Lot's wife," is a compelling call to reflect on her disobedience. But what about Lot? Lot's wife is known for one tragic decision. She appears in paragraph of Genesis and again in Jesus' instruction. But what about Lot? Lot made multiple decisions that set his wife up to fail. Bad Decisions - The Legacy of Lot is an autopsy of Lot's choices. Lot's decisions to disrespect others, to pursue wealth, to immerse his family in the cesspool known as Sodom, to disregard his obligation as a parent are the making of chaos. The aftermath of Lot's life was two sons born of incest. These two sons were the forefathers of two nations: Moab and Ammon. Both nations withstood Israel at every turn. Decisions, decisions, decisions. From Lot's bad decisions we can learn to be wise and make better decisions. All was not permanently lost, giving hope to any person whose family history is ugly. One lady, breaks free of the legacy of Lot. Ruth was the great-grandmother of David.
