Advice About Apartments Near Campus in Iowa City: Reasons Why You Should Never Sign a Lease with a Bad Landlord

Apartments Near Campus, along with related companies Apartments at Iowa and Apartments Downtown, are rental companies owned by Bryan James Clark in Iowa City, home of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. Along with Clark's registered agent, attorney Erek P Sittig, and Clark's unprofessional staff have shown nothing but contempt for well-behaved, first-time student renters. They routinely ignore repair requests, provide filthy apartments, and steal deposits from good renters with bogus charges once the keys have been turned in.With scores and scores of negative public reviews over the decades, class action lawsuits, and upset renters, why are these companies, clearly engaged in racketeering and abuse of their tenants, allow to continue? Why don't the local politicians, housing advocates, prosecutors, and the Iowa Attorney General's office do something about it?C. David Patterson, author of "Before You Sign an Apartment Lease: How Bad Landlords Get Away with Ripping Off Good Tenants - A Guide for Students, Parents, and Friends" provides commentary to these negative reviews of Apartments Near Campus.Read more
