A Rooftop Above Reality: A Katrina Story

A Rooftop Above Realitypulls the audience into an unparalleled journey through the heart of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, one of the most devastating natural disasters ever recorded. This memoir unfolds the tale of a tight-knit group of friends and their two remarkably patient dogs, as they navigate life after the levees failed. It’s their story, and the dogs' story, too. Unlike the widely broadcast images of stranded Katrina evacuees, these individuals weren’t the ones perched on rooftops, cast as victims by the relentless media coverage. Instead, they are a band of real people in an extraordinary situation, striving to make do and figuring things out one step at a time.Read more
