#11-CODY DAKOTA - MOUNTAIN MAN: #11 - THE DAKOTA LEGACY

#11 - THE DAKOTA LEGACY - The eleventh adventure in a new Mountain Man series from D. M. Haggard!Forced to take over at the J&C Winery after his business partner dies, Cody Dakota feels out of his depth. Running a vineyard is vastly different from his former existence as a mountain man, roaming at will and testing his mettle against predators, big game, and the elements. He dreams of his rustic cabin in the wilds of Grizzly Flats, and eventually returns there for short breaks to hunt, fish, and sort things out. He's no closer to an answer when unexpected visitors arrive: Jake and Emily, the orphaned children he took in last winter.Cody brings them back to the J&C, and over the next few years, the three of them become a family in all but name. Then, on a fateful hunting trip, Jake gets mauled by a grizzly bear. In a desperate quest to save the boy's life, Cody crosses paths with the woman who will shape his future, for better or for worse.Read more
